Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of GetDistributed’s platform and services. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. We aim to foster a trusted, transparent marketplace for startups, marketers, and buyers, and this policy helps us maintain that environment.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

• Fraud & Deception: Creating fake accounts, submitting fraudulent referrals, misrepresenting startup metrics (MRR, ARR, churn), or engaging in any deceptive practice.
• Spam & Abuse: Sending unsolicited messages, scraping user data, or using automated tools to manipulate the platform.
• Intellectual Property Violations: Listing products, logos, or content that you do not own or have permission to use.
• Payment Evasion: Attempting to complete transactions, commissions, or deals outside of the Platform’s official payment system.
• Harassment: Threatening, intimidating, or harassing other users through messages, reviews, or any platform communication channel.
• Illegal Activity: Using the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.

All content you submit to the Platform — including startup listings, profile descriptions, proposals, and reviews — must:

• Be accurate, truthful, and not misleading.
• Not contain hate speech, discriminatory language, or offensive material.
• Not include personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent.
• Not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.
• Not impersonate any person or entity.

If you believe a user or listing violates this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us immediately at abuse@getdistributed.io. Include as much detail as possible, including links, screenshots, and a description of the violation. We review all reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, account suspension, or termination.

GetDistributed reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP and take action as we deem appropriate, including:

• Removing or modifying listings, content, or proposals.
• Issuing warnings to users.
• Temporarily or permanently suspending accounts.
• Withholding or reversing commission payments.
• Reporting violations to relevant law enforcement authorities.

If your account or content has been restricted and you believe it was in error, you may submit an appeal to appeals@getdistributed.io. Appeals will be reviewed within 5 business days. Include your account details and a clear explanation of why you believe the restriction was incorrect.
